HERE'S WHAT'S NEW
Maybe he should have his head examined—again.
A storm-of-the-century mega-crash leaves Deputy Gareth Shaw injured and stranded for Christmas. With everyone he knows out of town and his car headed for a salvage yard, Gareth reluctantly accepts former family friend and K-9 officer Mick McKee’s offer of shelter from the storm.
It’s a practical arrangement. Temporary. And maybe a few days under the same roof will allow them to mend a few fences.
Except.
Except Mick’s cozy little bungalow is pretty short on elbow room. His German Shepherd has no respect for personal space. Mick is being alarmingly considerate. Even attentive. And it turns out Gareth’s bruised heart is considerably less well-protected than his banged head.
With Christmas around the corner and nowhere either of them needs to be, Gareth and Mick finally have time to talk about what went wrong—but is it too late to put things right?
